Britannia Adelphi Hotel
Liverpool
United Kingdom of Great Britain and North America
Until the advent of the aerosteamer the Adelphi Hotel was the favoured departure point for passengers travelling on the great ocean liners to New York, and to the other cities along the Atlantic coast of British North America. The interior was modelled on that of the liner Titanic, and it houses a small museum to the history of that tragic liner and its torpedoing off the coast of Newfoundland in 1914 which hurled the United Kingdom into the Great War of 1914-1916.
The Adelphi Hotel has hosted the Eastercon many times before, and its friendly staff and brisk efficiency has made it a firm favourite among fans.
